The use of technology would help a lot with instructing students. As the article said, most of young Americans spend the majority of every waking minute using an electronic device. Instead of taking away these devices while we are at school, the schools should “abuse” the use of technology to help instructing students. Most of the textbooks are outdated, most of the media, such as news, is on the internet, and through texting, like what we did in class, we could have class discussions. Technology will advance the instruction of students: any question that a teacher can’t answer, the internet can.

I believe that this "class poll" method is great for teaching in schools, because now a days many students use their Cell Phones in school all the time, even if the school doesn't allow it. I think that instead of rebelling against these technologies we should use them to our advantage and adapt it to our way of learning.

I also believe that once you let the kids think they can use cell phones in school, not as many will use it. Most kids like to go against the rules, and once your allowed to do something, it isn't fun any more and kids stop doing it.

I agree with Philip's statement about everything being found on the internet just the same as it's found in a newspaper, and the extbooks we have ARE relatively outdated, and most textbooks don't contain accurate history for the most part.

I personally recommend that school systems begin trying to add electronics to their lessons because in college we basically HAVE to have a laptop, and in our careers in the future we more than likely have to be technologically capable in order to be a part of the modernized business industries that adourn our economy.

I think the "class poll" worked great. When you tell a children they aren't allowed to do something , in turn they do it. Allowing children to carry and use cell phones in the school enviroment will engage them to use it for the right reason. So instead of texting friends, they will use the phone it to get information to answer questions in class.

I think that technology should be used in classrooms because us as teenagers its easier for us to understand as well as keeping our focus and attention. I think the texting we did in class was fun but isnt that what school should be about? Learning as well has having fun doing it?

I think the use of technology in a classroom is a great method to get teenagers attention. We teenagers grew up in a world were technology came a part of our lives. The class poll is a great way to get the class to participate with the us of their cell phone. Anything with technology will get teenagers attention to better there knowledge in class. I agree with minoli...if students were given the priviledge to us their cell phone, they are less likely to use it. For example, during class mr.brown didn't really care if we listen music and text in class just as long as we participate in class. Well ever since that convo, I haven't seen people text or listen to their music besides the same people that always do it.

I think using technology in class is a good idea because its faster to use google then using a textbook.
